Climbing in Norway 2018

Here at Rock Solid Adventures we believe in team-work with the conviction of most climbers, that if we stand together we can achieve something greater than ourselves. That's why we're teaming up with our friends Frank Spears of the Alpine Club of Canada and Charlie Long who lives in northern Norway to bring you a climbing trip under the midnight sun that you won't soon forget!

Charlie is an ACMG Rock Guide and a good friend of ours from Squamish who married a beautiful Norwegian woman and now lives among the the fjords, walls, and spires of granite in northern Norway. His hunger for rock is matched only by his sense of humour, everyone always has a good time when Charlie is around.

Frank Spears, is the Alpine Club of Canada's vice president of activities and is a great guy to climb with, his family history is Norwegian so he is excited to enjoy the cultural and historical sites as well as the climbing in northern Norway.

The trip will consist of 10 days of climbing, split between the Lofoten Islands and the Tysfjord areas. Lofoten is well know for both its natural beauty and the variety of great granite rock climbs available! The Tysfjord area is more mountainous and is home to Mount Stetind which is a beautiful granitic peak dubbed as the national mountain of Norway, many other great climbing options exist there too!
