Land acknowledgment

We have climbed and worked with indigenous people around the world and we believe in truth and reconciliation with indigenous peoples. Our values are not capitalistic and we believe the mountains, the water, the air, the forests, and the animals are all sacred and not here to be exploited. We believe in increased political power for indigenous nations to protect that which they hold sacred.

Rock Solid Guides humbly, respectfully, and whole-heartedly acknowledge that the programs we operate in Squamish, BC are on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples – SkwxwΓΊ7mesh (Squamish), Tsleil-Waututh & Musqueam First Nations.

We respect the land and honour this tradition of land acknowledgment that dates back centuries for indigenous people.

With this acknowledgment, we thank those indigenous peoples who live on and care for these lands, their ancestors, and we offer our support to future generations.
