Bugaboo Provincial Park hosts some of BC’s finest granite spires. It is an accessible alpine environment with superb granite and routes from 5.4 classics to futuristic 5.14 testpieces. There is truly something for everyone here in this spectacular alpine setting.

Based from Applebee Dome campsite we have access to Bugaboo Spire, Pidgeon Spire, Snowpatch Spire, The Howser Towers, Crescent Spire and Towers there are plenty of great climbs to do based on your experience and fitness levels.

Typical 5 day trip includes:

  • Transport from Golden BC to the Bugaboos

  • Camping fees

  • Food and Fuel for the trip

  • Guides Fees

  • Technical climbing equipment (eg. harness, helmet, crampons, ice axe, rock shoes, carabiners, ropes, rack, first aid and rescue equipment)

What’s not included:

  • Transport to or accommodation in Golden BC

  • Personal mountain equipment (eg. mountain boots, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, backpack, tent, headlamp, clothing etc.)

Sample Itinerary of a 5 day trip:

Day 1: Meet in Golden, drive to the bugaboos, walk-in (~4hrs), set up camp. Practice snow and glacier skills and/or do a shorter rock climb.

Day 2-4: Climb as many great routes in the spires as possible or do a mix of climbing routes and technical instruction. It’s all based on your goals, fitness and experience, as well as mountain weather and conditions.

Day 5: Shorter morning climb/scramble/hike or technical instruction. Break camp and hike out. Drive back to Golden
