INTRO TO ROCK CLIMBING

Focused on having fun on the rock and getting you up some great climbs! Get outside while having fun and learning some basic skills such as climbing technique, footwork, basic knots, belaying, and lowering.

TOP ROPE ANCHORS

This course is essential to begin rockclimbing on your own safely. It will teach you everything you need to know to have fun top-rope climbing with your friends and family. Top roping is how it all begins. We teach you safe anchor construction, how to belay/lower safely, crag hazards, equipment and guidebook use, common mistakes to avoid, rapelling and more! We also go climbing and help you develop your technique!

INTRO TO SPORT CLIMBING

Learn how to Sport Climb outdoors safely with a professional guide. This is a great way to move from bouldering or gym climbing into the world of outdoor rock climbing. You will learn everything you need to go sport climbing safely on your own including: lead theory, belaying a leader, clipping techniques, common crag hazards, rappelling, guidebook and equipment use, anchor construction and cleaning, commands, climbing techniques, and sport climbing lingo.

INTRO TO TRAD

If you dream of climbing mountains or big walls or routes on the chief then this is the place to start! In this course you will learn the fundamentals of trad climbing from experts. And you'll be safer and have a faster learning curve because of it. In this course you'll learn: bolted and trad anchor construction, protection placement and removal, equipment selection and use, lead theory, belaying a leader, belaying a second, common hazards, cleaning anchors, and rappelling.

INTRO TO MULTIPITCH

This is the course to take if you have some basic rock climbing skills but want to step it up and get up high on the chief! This course focuses on safety in the vertical world, fast transitions between belays to get you up routes faster, what to take on multipitch climbs, multipitch systems, 2 rope rappel techniques, and more! We also review protection placement/removal, anchor construction, belaying a leader/second, and other applicable techniques. We highly recommend taking our Rock Rescue course too, if you're going multipitch climbing and we offer a 10% discount if you book both these courses together.

ROCK RESCUE

This is a highly recommended course for anyone who has some climbing skills and is planning on trad climbing, multi-pitch climbing, or alpine climbing. This is an intense day of learning and a very worthwhile one! We teach escaping the belay, rope ascending, rescue lowering, rappelling with a casualty, releasing non-releasable systems, and hauling. These skills could save your life or your partner's life one day.

1 DAY - ALPINE ROCK TECHNIQUES

If you're looking to take your rockclimbing into the alpine and climb incredible routes in the Bugaboos or coastal areas like the Tantalus Range or Anderson Range then this very popular course is for you! We cover alpine hazards, alpine rock techniques, building and backing up alpine rappel anchors, terrain belays, simul-climbing, piton placement and use, and basic alpine systems. This course will make you safer and faster at climbing alpine rock!
